Audley WilliamsFamily Physician
Dr. Audley Williams is a board certified Family Medicine Physician hailing from the Greater Toronto Area. He currently lives and practices medicine outside of Detroit, Michigan. He earned his medical degree at the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Southern California. He stayed at Loma Linda, where he completed a combined Family and Preventive Medicine residency, while concurrently earning a Masters Degree in Public Health. Dr. Williams believes that every visit with a patient should be a learning experience for both the patient and himself. “If we listen well to each other, think and make decisions together, the patient-doctor partnership can be a mutually satisfying and educational experience.” It is his firm belief that his main purpose is to help you reach the goals that you have for yourself and overall well-being. Dr. Williams practices family medicine because of the variety of medical challenges it offers. He particularly enjoys helping others with weight management and weight loss, overcoming negative health risk behaviours such as cigarette smoking and managing chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes through lifestyle and behaviour modification.
Tenisha Mitchell-LambertFamily Physician
Tenisha Mitchell-Lambert received her degree at Loma Linda University and is a Family Physician with a Masters in Lifestyle Medicine. This dual training allows her to not only focus on the pharmaceutical treatments for chronic illness, but also the impact of lifestyle choices like diet and exercise. She is passionate about promoting good health through dietary choices, exercise and stress management, which she does in the office as well as in the community. She is blessed to have a wonderful husband, Okera, and a very supportive family. Outside of her work, she loves to cook, go for walks, jog, read and sing. She is a strong believer in people-care, recognizing that health conditions encompass physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects.
Bonnie Davis, BPhed. (Hons. Kin), MSc. (PT), CAFCI is a registered Physiotherapist. Bonnie graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University in 2006. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is a Certified Acupuncturist with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. She has experience in hospital, clinic and home care settings, with expertise in the management and rehabilitation of Orthopaedic conditions. She has completed additional training investibular rehab, kinesio taping, manual therapy, chronic pain management, and exercise prescription. She has worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, physicians,psychologists, chiropractors, massage therapists, occupational therapists, cognitive behavioural therapists, and kinesiologists. Bonnie believes in educating her patients to improve their overall health and well-being and to prevent future impairments.
Saran Johnson is a blogger for ReVitahealth. A native of the Greater Toronto Area, she now resides in the Myrtle Beach area in South Carolina. She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and a Masters in Health Administration. She is an accomplished writer for outreach magazines in her local community and offers a unique perspective given her educational background and busy schedule as a wife and mother of 2 young children. Traditionally, the south is often known for high calorie rich foods, however, Saran is passionate about returning to the basics of healthier eating by way of exploring creative and simpler ways to prepare meals to satisfy even those with the most sophisticated palate. In Saran’s spare time, she regularly volunteers in various health initiatives for all ages and we are thrilled to have her talent as part of our team.
Melissa Smith is a wife and elementary school teacher. She lives to inspire a plant-based, whole foods healthy lifestyle because of her knowledge of how these foods heal the body from the inside out. She shows compassion for animals and is an environmentalist advocate and makes a conscious effort to share the news about the importance of reducing our carbon footprint on the earth. She wants people to know that eating plants can be very easy, time-efficient, and tasty!
