Part-time/Casual Contract
ReVitahealth is currently looking for experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team. You would provide professional occupational therapy services to patients in their personal residence, retirement home, school, or Assisted Living Facility by conducting physical, psychosocial and cognitive assessments.
Responsibilities
Work with clients and caregivers to set realistic, practical OT goals, which are occupation focused, and outcome based.
Evaluate the client’s response to treatment and provide appropriate modifications with the client, caregivers and interdisciplinary team members.
Provide direct service, consultation and education to client, caregiver and community providers with a focus on maximising a client’s function in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure.
Utilise research to establish and support evidence-based practice.
Provision of in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers when needed.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Canadian Occupational Therapy Program and / or successful completion of Canadian O.T. certification exam
Licensed to practice under the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
Member of Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Professional Liability Insurance.
Minimum one (1) year experience (non-student) providing occupational therapy services in a community-based setting.
Experience/Specialisation in Sensory Integration and in working with children and adults in the areas of fine/gross motor development and sensory processing.
Ability to work independently within a community setting is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Access to or own a vehicle for travelling within the GTA.
Required Hours
This is a casual position and is ideal for someone who would like to supplement their current part-time or full-time position.
Flexible work schedules available with additional options of completing the administrative part of the work (e.g. report writing etc.) from a home office.
Mon-Fri, Occasional Sundays
